Dates & Time: Days we are open Tues or Thurs. Best time to meet is 8am. Program will be from 8am to 9:15am - 9:30am, leaving 30 mins of free time at the end.

  • 1-50 youth/people = $75
  • 50-75 youth/people = $100

What is included in the Summer Educational Walking Tour:  

  • Staff member(s) greet group and walk to Outdoor Amphitheater = 10 minutes
  • Welcome introduction, brief history of the orchard, fruits & vegetables. Can insert specific topics if requested = 20-30 minutes
  • Presentation at Beehive  = 10-15 minutes
  • Presentation at Chicken Coop = 10-15 minutes
  • Lead group to crops for picking, educating on crops = 20-30 mins. Note: See website for current prices. No produce comes free with tour. 
  • End of program. Total about 1.25 to 1.5 hours with staff member(s). 
If program begins at 8am it ends at 9:15am to 9:30am. This leaves about 30 mins of free time before Gilcrease Orchard closes at 10am.


What is not included: Not able to do wagon ride or include any produce or products in the price. 


Each person should bring: A cold water bottle as walking tour is outside with little shade, closed toed shoes, hats, and sunscreen.

While Planning, keep in mind:  

Time of Year & Weather:  

  • May or early June is ideal for the best temperatures, more flexible times, and produce availability 
  • Summer is HOT by 10am - only early morning programs available 
  • Fall (late Sept & October) - unavailable for programs. You can come for normal operations. 
Gilcrease Orchard is completely outside. We do not have indoor areas. There is a few shaded areas including a large, shaded picnic area. Most guests walk about 1 mile+ during their visit. 


Additional Items: (may or may not be available)

  • Gift Cards: Prepurchase Gift Cards is the easiest way to provide your guests with items from the orchard including fresh fruits & vegetables. We'll have a list of items on our website that you can send to guests ahead of time. 
  • Apple Cider Cups: 1 cup of Apple Cider for each person, approx. 8-10oz.  = $1 per person. Poured in the Picnic Area.

Program is located outside, all people need to bring water and dress for weather. As program is outdoors weather may be bad enough to cancel. Gilcrease Orchard will do our best to reschedule for another day.

Cancellation Policy: For a full refund, you must let Gilcrease Orchard know of cancellation more than72 hours to event date. Less than 72 hours, a refund will not be issued. If inclement weather occurs, we can reschedule. to reschedule.

Gilcrease Orchard must know of ALL Adults and chaperones coming.

Gilcrease Orchard will follow program plans. Unless specifically discussed with Education Coordinator 2 weeks or more prior to walking tour, special accommodations or requested deviations from field trip will not be allowed.

Need to know:
Program is 1 -1.5 hours hours long.
Start early in day 8am or 8:30am due to heat issues.
By entering on Gilcrease Orchard property for an event or otherwise, you acknowledge that Gilcrease Orchard is a working orchard with inherent risks, potential hazards, and unforeseen circumstances, including the risk of physical injury. You agree to indemnify Gilcrease Orchard against any and all claims, actions, lawsuits, damages and judgments including attorneys’ fees, arising out of or related to your visit to Gilcrease Orchard, for you as well as for all attendees for which you are responsible. You further release and forever discharge Gilcrease Orchard and its affiliates, officers, employees, representatives and agents from all causes of action of any nature and kind, known or unknown, which you or any attendees for which you are responsible, may have arising out of or relating to any injury, loss or damage to person or property that may be sustained from your visit to Gilcrease Orchard.
